Love the updates to the cabins and beach! Adam and Casey have been hard at work making an already nice resort even better! Still the best beach on pelican lake and a family friendly atmosphere make Birch Forest Lodge a repeat visit for us every year!
My wife and I stayed at Birch Forest for the first time this September. We booked a three night stay. Our cabin was clean and spacious. It also had a comfortable sofa and arm chair for off lake time. We also rented one of the tiller motor fishing boats. It was well suited for fishing and came with a landing net, live well, and depth finder as part of the package. Adam is a fisherman himself and knows Pelican Lake very well. He provided us good advice for spots to try and tackle to use. We caught plenty of fish by following his advice. We'll be back in June 2018 for a week long stay and are looking forward to it. This is a fun, family oriented resort that provides activities for both fisherman and non-fisherman alike.
We had a fantastic time at Birch Forest Lodge. Our four kids were constantly running, with so much to do! Between the playground, the beach, and all the activities at the lodge, we never once heard they were "bored" or had nothing to do!
Our four children never ran out of fun things to do! The playground on the beach was great and even though the water in May was a little chilly we couldn't keep them from splashing and have a great time on the amazing sandy beach! We fished, we canoed, sat out on the deck at the lodge eating ice cream, played pool, swinging on the rope swing, playing life-size jenga, walking out on the point! Wonderful family time to just hang out and enjoy each other!
Owners were friendly and always willing to offer assistance if needed! Our cabin was large enough for our family of 6, with plenty of room for indoor play. The kitchen was large and up to date, which I greatly appreciated. We'll definitely go back to make more memories!
